Who this is for
The Treatment Process
Your esthetician begins with a thorough cleanse and skin degreasing to ensure the peel penetrates evenly. The customized peel solution — selected based on your skin type, concern, and tolerance — is applied evenly across the treatment area. You may feel a mild tingling or warming sensation as the acids work.
The solution is then neutralized and removed, followed by a calming serum and barrier-supportive moisturizer. Depending on the depth of the peel, your skin may appear slightly pink immediately after treatment.
PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Discontinue retinoids and all active exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs) for at least 5–7 days before your peel
- Avoid waxing or facial hair removal for 7 days prior
-
Do not tan or have significant sun exposure for 2 weeks before treatment
-
Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores, as peels can trigger an outbreak — a prophylactic antiviral may be recommended
-
Avoid blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen) if possible — consult your physician
POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not pick, peel, or manually remove any flaking skin — allow it to shed on its own to avoid scarring
- Avoid all active exfoliants until your skin has fully healed
- Apply SPF 30+ mineral sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun exposure — freshly peeled skin burns extremely easily
- Keep skin well moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer
- Avoid saunas, steam, and excessive sweating during the healing period
- Do not apply makeup until any active peeling has subsided
- Avoid retinoids until your provider clears you to resume
